ICHTYS is a concise digital lexicon,
with the aim to facilitate theological
research and exegesis. It aspires to explain
biblical and religious words and names, by
placing them in their historical context and
describing their etymological derivation and
semantics. Focusing mainly on Christianity,
it examines comparable views from other
religions and philosophies too, and analyzes
possible puns, allegories and metaphors, as
well as cross-religious and mythological
parallels, whilst adding valuable insights
and commentaries.
